چکیده

Poriella subacida gen. & comb. nov., previously known as Perenniporia subacida, which causes white rot, has been documented in temperate and tropical forests. Specimens from Asia, North America, Europe were examined, including the type specimen of Polylorus subacidus. Sequences ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 region, 28S rDNA, mitochondrial rDNA small subunit (mtSSU), gene encoding translation elongation factor 1-α (EF1) generated. In multigene phylogenies (maximum parsimony, maximum likelihood, Bayesian inferences), “Perenniporia subacida” formed a well-supported lineage, distinct core “Perenniporia” clade (type species: “P. medulla-panis”), sister to “Yuchengia narymica” lineage. We therefore conclude that should be placed new genus “Poriella”gen. nov. Morphologically, “Poriella” is characterized by di- trimitic hyphal system, non-truncate basidiospores, strongly dextrinoid, cyanophilic skeletal hyphae.

Reclassification of the polyphyletic genus Prosthecomicrobium to form two novel genera, Vasilyevaea gen. nov. and Bauldia gen. nov. with four new combinations: Vasilyevaea enhydra comb. nov., Vasilyevaea mishustinii comb. nov., Bauldia consociata comb. nov. and Bauldia litoralis comb. nov.

Species of the genus Prosthecomicrobium are noted for their numerous cellular appendages or prosthecae that extend from the cells. This investigation confirms that the genus is polyphyletic based on an extensive analysis of the 16S rRNA gene sequences of several named species of the genus. The analyses indicate that some Prosthecomicrobium species are more closely related to non-prosthecate gen...

Goodfellowia gen. nov., a new genus of the Pseudonocardineae related to Actinoalloteichus, containing Goodfellowia coeruleoviolacea gen. nov., comb. nov.

During the course of a phylogenetic evaluation of Saccharothrix strains held in the ARS Culture Collection, it was discovered that Saccharothrix coeruleoviolacea NRRL B-24058(T) is unrelated to other species within this genus, and a polyphasic study was undertaken to clarify its taxonomic position. Strain NRRL B-24058(T) is observed to be phylogenetically separate from the genus Saccharothrix a...

The genus Abiotrophia (Kawamura et al.) is not monophyletic: proposal of Granulicatella gen. nov., Granulicatella adiacens comb. nov., Granulicatella elegans comb. nov. and Granulicatella balaenopterae comb. nov.

The genus Abiotrophia currently includes four species, Abiotrophia defectiva, Abiotrophia adiacens, Abiotrophia balaenopterae and Abiotrophia elegans. Recent 16S rRNA gene sequencing studies have demonstrated that the genus is not monophyletic and is in need of taxonomic revision. Phylogenetically, the genus Abiotrophia consists of two distinct lines, A. defectiva, the type species of the genus...

Transfer of Rhodopseudomonas acidophila to the new genus Rhodoblastus as Rhodoblastus acidophilus gen. nov., comb. nov.

Rhodopseudomonas acidophila has unique properties among the phototrophic alpha-Proteobacteria and is quite distinct from the type species of Rhodopseudomonas, Rhodopseudomonas palustris. Therefore, the transfer of Rhodopseudomonas acidophila to Rhodoblastus acidophilus gen. nov., comb. nov., is proposed. This proposal is in accordance with other taxonomic reclassifications proposed previously a...

Reclassification of Saccharomycodes sinensis, Proposal of Yueomyces sinensis gen. nov., comb. nov. within Saccharomycetaceae (Saccharomycetales, Saccharomycotina)

The phylogenetic position of Saccharomycodes sinensis has been debated by yeast taxonomists. In this study, a multigene phylogenetic analysis based on four regions, namely the 18S ribosomal DNA (rDNA), the D1/D2 domains of the 26S rDNA, the second largest subunit of RNA polymerase II gene (RPB2) and translation elongation factor 1-α gene (EF1-α), were performed to address the phylogenetic place...
